Let’s talk about Milan. Milan is a super comfy, easy to wear pullover created in our new yarn Lunar. Milan has a vented hi-low hem and a very simple to follow garter ridge pattern. Milan’s body and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up with one strand of Lunar worked on a US size 4 needle. The neckline is finished with a shallow stockinette stitch collar that is turned under and seamed.
I enjoyed every minute of creating Milan. In all honesty, it is a fair amount of knitting but I found the very simple garter ridge pattern (3 rows of knitting and 1 row of purling) to be extremely enjoyable. That one garter ridge makes it so simple to count your rows and is very meditative. There is very little shaping, which makes this an even easier piece to make. And the resulting fabric created by using Lunar – the extra fine merino combined with mulberry silk = pure luxury.
